Last week, Supervisor Do and Supervisor Chaffee kicked off the 2020 Census at the Complete Count Committee. The OC Complete Count Committee (OCCCC) will be the County’s primary network and strongest tool to educate, motivate and activate Orange County residents to participate in the Census. The OCCCC includes many stakeholders including cities, county departments, community-based organizations, community leaders and a communications team.

Thank you to the incredible performers and organizers of the 11th Annual Dia de los Niños event on Saturday at the Santa Ana Main Library! This event focuses on celebrating children in the community and encouraging positive habits like reading. Our office spent the afternoon sharing with the community how we and the County of Orange can be of help, and also making some fun arts and crafts with the kids!

Fourteen year-old Patrick Stovsky Galvan Alba earned the rank of Eagle after completing his project, a Lost and Found/Mini Library for Roosevelt Elementary in Santa Ana.

One of his inspirations for achieving Eagle is his oldest brother who was also an Eagle Scout. Patrick has a younger brother and his goal is to help him achieve Eagle as well, he wants to be a positive influence for his younger brother and to those who surround him.

Patrick has worked very hard to achieve his goals and he is a great role model for others on what you can achieve and how you can give back to your community.
